UI/UX Design
Concept and design of HMI user interfaces for your product
As specialists in UI/UX design, we at BUSSE develop user-friendly interfaces for hardware and software. We focus on ergonomics, ease of use, and a positive user experience.
From the initial idea to the finished product, we design digital and analog solutions using proven usability engineering methods in accordance with the DIN ISO 9241 standard.

Why is good UX/UI design a decisive factor for success?
A well-thought-out design not only makes products more user-friendly, but above all more economically successful. An intuitive and professionally designed HMI (human-machine interface) offers decisive advantages:
Efficiency & safety: It helps to avoid operating errors, speed up work processes, and significantly increase user safety.
Cost-effectiveness: It increases customer satisfaction, reduces support costs, and gives you a clear competitive advantage.
Ease of use: It ensures a shorter training period and greater acceptance among users.

Our design process
Our work is based on the human-centered design process, which consistently puts the user at the center of attention. We always take hardware ergonomics guidelines and your company's image into account.
This holistic approach enables us to design all interfaces of your product – from physical buttons to gripping and service areas to software interaction. We call this unique approach UX720°.
Our interface designers and usability experts work closely with your application experts. This ensures that creative design, intuitive user guidance (usability), and forward-looking trends are optimally combined.
An iterative approach is a matter of course for us. After each loop, we evaluate the results together. To save on later development costs, we ideally only start the final design phase after validation by a tested concept.

UX 720° - User interfaces taken to the next level
The term “user interface” is often used to refer only to the graphical representation of software. With our holistic UX720° approach, we at BUSSE go one decisive step further: we first analyze the device and its usage contexts as a whole before developing the user interface.
This comprehensive process considers all points of contact—from software and graphic design to physical controls, their design, and placement. The result is seamless integration that perfectly coordinates hardware and software. We ensure that all elements are optimally tailored to operation, environment, and ergonomics, enabling optimal interaction.

Operator HMI
The more complex machines, vehicles, or systems become, the more crucial intuitive and ergonomic operation becomes. Minimal training time and a low error rate are critical success factors here.
This is exactly where we at BUSSE come in: We specialize in the development of modern operator HMIs (human machine interfaces) and combine the expertise of our industrial and UI/UX designers in one team. The result is powerful yet easy-to-use interfaces.

Developed with the user in mind – We are auditors at the UIG
This year, we became a member of UIG e.V. (Usability in Germany), an association that promotes the integration of user-centered development in organizations.
The “User-Centered Development” seal was created specifically for this purpose. The seal is intended to help medium-sized companies obtain visible proof of the successful establishment of a user-centered development process. And we at BUSSE Design+Engineering are auditors for this seal, enabling our customers and interested parties to obtain proof of intuitively operable products.

Our services
Our UI/UX designs are based on the Human Centered Design Process (DIN 9241). The result is error-free and user-friendly products that guarantee an effective, efficient, and satisfying user experience.
We consider the entire user experience—from the first interaction to post-use service. Your guarantee of the highest quality is our proven expertise in usability engineering for highly regulated areas such as medical technology.
Optimal user experience in medical technology
We support you in the normative implementation of the usability of medical devices in accordance with DIN EN 62366-1.
We create precise use specifications and operating concepts for you, carry out the necessary risk analyses, and validate your product in formative and summative testing. Each step is carefully planned, evaluated, and used to optimize the final design of your medical device.
